One day while perusing the internet, I ran across an article written to what the author called older writers. As I read, my mouth dropped open. The article spoke condescendingly about how hard it must be to realize that much younger writers were receiving acclaim, and that (I’m paraphrasing ) it would be the kiss of death to mention being retired or, God forbid, grandchildren.

The Road Less Traveled

Yes, I’ve read the book. At the moment, I’m reveling in clichés. But, I digress. See, that’s what I mean about clichés. Over the last few years I’ve begun to realize that by deciding to pursue goals and dreams, as I have all my life, (usually on a shoe-string and against some kind of decently formidable odds) that very few of my fellow peeps truly understand or care. And that’s OK with me. I can count on the fingers of one hand my closest friends. They know who they are.

Passion & Challenge

Every chapter of my life has held passion intertwined with challenge. I’ve embraced each one with the attitude of spitting in the face of adversity. If someone tells me “You can’t do that,” then come hell or high water, I will do it, with great passion, whatever ‘it’ may be.
